Thank you for visiting our site. Our goal is to reach as many parents of children who have "special needs" as we possibly can. If you find this site helpful, please tell someone who may benefit from it.
We hope that the information and experiences that we share will be helpful to you. Although it is vital to be your child's most powerful advocate, we sometimes need to remind ourselves that our special child will only have one childhood and we cannot get so involved in our advocacy that we miss out on it. We have found this to be quite challenging.
Our mission is to increase parental awareness regarding the educational rights of Massachusetts school children with disabilities in order to defend the right of such children to receive a free appropriate public education. In addition, we would like to reach out to others in the community with the hope of providing a support network for parents in need of such assistance.
Our mission is not to educate you since we must continue to educate ourselves. We are simply trying to make more people aware of the crisis in special education, both locally and nationally. If enough people come to the table in support of our children as one unified voice, change will come eventually.
